Optimal Raiding specs

Heavy Affliction with Life Drain:

dot the enemy up and drain life, every dot on them improves drain life by 4% up to a max of 60%, and it includes shadow embrace and fear. very effective damage over time for those long endurance fights and a decent pvp build. faster cast time on demons and fel domination to get them out instantly, as well as the stat improving talents to buff them up a little more.

again, dot the enemy up and nuke them with shadow bolt, not as pvp friendly as the draining version, or as enduring, but better for raids in terms of raw damage and burst dps. you gain a new instant nuke with shadow burn, which can quickly burn all of your shards if your not careful, but you do not have any improvement in your demons or stones, leaving them weaker then the drain version. you gain howl of terror as an instant cast AoE fear, which saves lives both in PvE and PvP, always a great talent to have.

Heavy Demonology with Soul Siphon:

this is a very strong build for grinding and raiding with. this build essentially gives you 15% extra damage, plus another 15% of your pets combined total stamina and intellect, as well as reducing all damage you and you pet take by 20%, sharing the damage between both of you.

Heavy Demonology with Shadowbolt:

this build is fairly decent, your relying on your fel guards ability to damage as opposed to his tanking abilities since your going to be pulling aggro very fast with your shadowbolts, also this build does not dot at all, rather you rely on your immolate and shadowbolting to do all of your damage, next to your pets damaging abilities. buffed with all of your demonology talents, your shadowbolts will be hurting alot.

Heavy Destruction with Demonic Sacrifice:

this is a pure raiding build, and the direct damaging shadowbolting raiding type only. your only spells you will be using is shadow bolt, immolate, and conflagrate. these spells are improved substantially through talents in destruction the the demonic sacrifice talent allows you to have a very useful buff that lasts for 30 minutes. the 2 most useful pets to sacrifice is the void walker for health regeneration and the succubus for 15% extra shadow damage. very powerful spec in raids but absolute trash for pvp. also remember, you don't have a pet anymore if you go with this spec.

these specs can all be tweaked around for the talents you are looking for specifically, but these are about the best use of talents you will find. at the end of the day its all up to you in how you spec your character, be original and try something new, i did and i created my own personal specs i use to this day, some of which are mentioned above. have fun and enjoy.
